Sunshine Yellow Rope Basket

Hand dyed with Osage Orange Wood chips, the 100% cotton cord is sewn into a roomy bucket shape basket.   

Perfect size for market trips, holding on the go fiber projects, picnics, foraging, the possibilities are endless.   Delicate looking, but tough and made to use.  

 Double long handles made with black walnut dyed hemp/organic cotton canvas, are secured to the basket with brass . 

The stripes of colour throughout are pieces of plant dyed hemp scraps, saved in the studio. 

The blue is dyed with Indigo,  The coral red is Madder Root, and the darker yellow is dyed with Tansy. 

I dye all the rope and fabric in small batches, using ethically foraged / grown/ purchased plant material.  To read more about the materials used and the dye process, check this page out.
