Join me and learn the basics of eco printing and bundle dyeing! Using local leaves, plants, and historical dye plants.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou will create \u0026amp; take home a variety of hemp fabric samples, a bandana \u0026amp; water colour paper prints.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e We’ll cover:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e- A brief history of natural dyes, bundle dyeing \u0026amp; eco- printing.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e-The process of preparing plant (cellulose) based fibers for best results, scouring, mordanting, \u0026amp; the use of modifiers.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e- What makes a leaf print and how to use iron \u0026amp; tannins to create darker prints.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e-The ethics of foraging and gathering locally, growing your own dye\/printing plants and some of the best places to get leaves that print well!  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e- How to care for your plants based fabrics.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou will leave the day with the essential knowledge on how to print fabrics with plants as well as a deeper appreciation for the plants surrounding us!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere will be a print out, outlining techniques \u0026amp; information we go over,  so you can continue experimenting at home!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIncluded:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eI will provide all the fabric, paper, dyes and dried leaves and flower for you to experiment with!\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\u003cem\u003e2 pieces on hemp\/organic cotton blend muslin, medium weight.
