Curious about how to grow plants you can use for dye? Want to learn about native dye plant species that benefit local pollinators? Join me for a 2 1/2-hour workshop where you'll discover the best plants for dyeing and eco-printing in southern Ontario, all while creating a pollinator-friendly space. Whether you have a garden plot or prefer containers, there are plenty of options for every space!
Here's what to expect:
- Learning about plant colors for dyeing.
- Starting from seed, indoors or outdoors.
- Companion planting techniques.
- Growing in container gardens.
- Integrating dye plants into existing landscapes.
- Harvesting dye materials for immediate use or future projects.
- Seasonal care tips for maintaining dye gardens.
- Handouts with valuable information, along with tea and light snacks.
You'll also have the opportunity to draw and plan your own dye garden during the workshop."
LOCATION - This work shop is being hosted in a private residence. There are 2 small half steps into the space. we will gather in. Workshop space, bathroom & kitchen are on the main floor. If you have questions or concerns about accessibility / allergies to the space please email me.
